A Touch of Zen (1971)

This Thursday (June 7th) the series will begin its first screening under new management with the 1971 King Hu classic A Touch of Zen. The time and location are the same as in past weeks, 7:00PM in Garland 104 (2441 E. Hartford) The film is presented in Mandarin with English subtitles.

Hi. Are you still doing these? It would be really neat of you could play City of Sadness (1989, Hou Hsiao-Hsien).

Sorry for not getting back to you right away, I was out of town. The series is still going on every other week during the summer. The next screening is The Quiet Family on the 19th. I'll look into City of Sadness as an option, but choice of films is now up to Elizabeth who runs the series.
